Have you ever been to a Tuesday Morning?

I just went to one recently. Wow, how did this one slip past me?

It reminded me of a cross between a dollar store, a thrift store and Marshalls/Home Goods. There was a mixture of clothing, home dec, electronics, kitchenware, etc.  I found a few things. But there was one particular item that's been on my "always keep a sharp eye out for  ___" list. I'm sure you have a similar list, too.


What was I searching for? Something to replace this:

I love having a place to store my magazines and books under my old family room side table nightstand.  This darling basket is circa 1999 when I thought purple and green were 'it'.  Poor thing was falling apart and did not really hold much. I've been looking for something to replace it.

I wanted something sturdy, brown and leather (or leather look). Over time, I scoped out leather totes at multiple stores. The options I found were either the wrong color, too small or too pricey. I did not want to spend a fortune on what was basically a box.

I was patient. I knew I'd eventually find the perfect one.

Then, I recently found the tote at Tuesday Morning. He was big, brown and only 11 bucks. Sold!

I think Tuesday Morning will be the kind of place I could need to browse occasionally to get lucky. It took time hunting and poking through the shelves to find things I liked. But as you can see, it was well worth the trip!
