Weekend Word Search: The Debut

Madigan made...  a party invitation.

I mentioned on Tuesday that I wanted to host a link party spotlighting your word or quote projects.

This is YOUR official invitation!

The party starts tonight!

HUGE side note:
I've really enjoyed the creative process writing this blog (and meeting you!). I did not intend to host a link party so early in my blogging career. I had planned on starting one after I was 'established.'  I'm a planner on so many levels. But sometimes, when I have a semi-good idea, I just roll with it. This is one of those times.

And as I write this, I'm thinking to myself:
"This is crazy! I've only been blogging for about 2 months! Who is going to show up to my rinky-dink party?"

Honestly, I feel like Kenneth Parcell on 30 Rock. Remember the episode where he throws all these parties and only Liz shows up? (Don't get me wrong, I love Liz Lemon!)
So, like Kenneth, I extend a simple, innocent invite and hope people will show!
Will you join me?
{ And who knows? Like Kenneth's party, this may be a dee-saster and I may never throw a party again! }

Below is the scoop about the party.
Look over your projects that apply and link away. Tell all your bloggy friends!

Background:
I love seeing an inspiring phrase or word in my environment. Often, these are easy projects we can make. And by doing it ourselves, the words become more personal.

Concept/theme:
Show off your DIY word or quote project. A new phrase on your chalkboard, a vinyl word project, a personal art piece, fun labels, a card etc. Single letters or numbers do not count. Anything goes, as long as it includes words or quotes.

When:  First Saturday of every month. The party starts Friday night and will be open through the weekend.

The rules:
  1. Link up a blog post about your project. Your project MUST be related to the theme (see above). Unrelated projects will be removed. It can be a recent or older project.
  2. Link the direct url to the project post, not your general blog site.
  3. Please give a shout out back to this site. Add a button or link to this party somewhere on your blog. (In the post, on a sidebar or your fav link party list. I'm not picky.) It will help this party grow and in turn, will increase everyone's traffic!
  4. Please no links to ads or online stores. Also, this is a family friendly site. Any content deemed inappropriate will be removed.
  5. Your link may be removed if it does not adhere to the rules. If it goes away: reread the rules, adjust your link and link again.
  6. Adding your link gives me permission to spotlight your project on my blog. All credit and love will be given to you.
  7. Please visit at least two other posts and check out their projects. (Assuming more than a couple people show up to this shindig!).

Grab a pretty button. Spread the word. (pun intended!)
