Madigan made...     eyeball marbles.

Simple and easy DIY glass eyeballs. Instructions at madiganmade.com

I swear, crafting can be so addicting. I've mentioned before about the "DIY high".
C'mon, you know you've experienced it?

It's that feeling you get when you look at a project and say: "I did that!"  It's awesome, right?!?

And I recently needed a quick fix!

I wanted a fast and easy project to work on the other night.
Aren't those types of projects always satisfying? With minimal effort, you get a final result.

This idea was floating in my head for many months. It is just an eyeball version of marble magnets. With Halloween approaching, I knew I needed to get it done.

I found some eyeball clipart in Word and printed them off on computer paper. I also used jewelry glue (it needs to dry very clear), glass 'marbles' with a flat bottom, scissors and a 1/2 inch hole punch.

A 1/2 inch hole punch seems to be the perfect size for the small glass marbles.

BUT I ran into a problem.
I started to punch out the images and the hole punch froze after only 2 cuts!!
Seriously??

I have no idea how to fix it. (( Sigh ))  Guess I'm in the market for a new one.

This project quickly went from being super easy to just easy.

So, I patiently cut the rest of the eyes by hand.  Can you tell which ones? lol

The steps to assemble these are the same as the marble magnets. Minus adding the magnets.

I added a drop of glue on the paper circle. I squished the glass marble down onto the glue.

Instead of adding the magnet, I just flipped the marble over and let it dry upside down.

When the glue dried, the little eyes peeked clearly out from under the glass.
I think that the blue and the green eyes turned out the best. Maybe because the images were bright and clear?
I worry the paper on the back may peel. I'm not sure if it is worth trying to seal them or not.

Either way, I'll say it again: I just love quick and easy projects like this one. I bet this would be a fun project with kids, too.

I'm going to use these for Halloween on a tray or maybe as a vase filler.
