Madigan made... a new chalkboard quote for a new year.
Happy New Year!
It is a new month, a new year... and time for a new quote.
(If you are a new reader to this blog, I change my chalkboard quote every month. For past examples, please read this post.)I needed a 'wintry' quote that was not bordering on depressing.
I was surprised to find so many downers about this season! But this proverb seemed perfect.
I am slowly starting to pack away the Christmas decor this weekend. I started in the kitchen. The cranberry "hurricane" centerpiece was starting to get funky, so that had to go! I changed the quote and removed the holiday plates. I kept the snowflake plates up for now.
I could not bring myself to pack away the milkglass trees just yet. I thought they would be a pretty winter centerpiece with my real milkglass cake stand. I don't think this will stay up very long, but it looks cute for now.
Did you make any New Year's resolutions?
I am not very good at keeping them... so I don't bother making any. Boring, but true. All I hope for is a happy and healthy upcoming year.
So, here's wishing you the best in twenty-eleven!
