Disclosure Statement & Privacy Policy

Madigan made... a new disclosure statement.

This is the latest version of my disclosure statement. I will update this statement periodically as needed.
I had hoped that someday, this little 'hole-in-the-wall' blog would generate enough interest to accept ads or compensation. I am very excited that that day has arrived. As such,  I updated my disclosure statement below.
There is a neat website that generates your own policy. I used that as a basis to get started.

My Disclosures:
This policy is valid from 28 July 2014
This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. For questions about this blog, please contact  me at madiganmade at gmail dot com.
To find out why I blog, you may want to read that post. To find out more about why I want to monetize this blog, please read that post
This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. To generate a little income, advertising will be in the form of advertisements generated by third party ad networks, sponsors posts and affiliate links. Those advertisements will be identified as paid advertisements.
I also may accept forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation. I am veeerry picky and appreciate that my readers are here for the content…not commercials. So, I will be very selective and these slots will be infrequent compared to regular content.

This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space, link or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content. I also may be influenced by my background and personal experiences.

Some of the content on this blog may contain affiliate links. By clicking on these links this blog may receive a small percentage or referral fee, at no cost to you. Any affiliate links in blog posts will be disclosed according to FTC regulations.  Thank you for shopping via Madigan Made if you do use these links!

I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to

I may be compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. Even though I would receive compensation for posts or advertisements, I will always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely mine.
Remember: I do not like clutter and free stuff… just because it is free, doesn’t mean I need it. We have a small house and I am picky about what I bring into my home.

So, if I work with a product or company, it will be because it is something I think I can really use in our home and that you might be interested in it. If I claim or appear to be experts on a certain topic or product or service area, I will only endorse products or services that I believe, based on my limited expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.

Do I like to play with new craft mediums and techniques? Absolutely.
Do I want to share some of these with you? Sure!

If I claim or appear to be an expert on a certain topic or product or service area, please realize that I do not consider myself an expert on anything this blog covers. I'm just documenting my journey in the kitchen and at the craft table and I occasionally may want to share with my readers a neat product or service.

Warning: Please attempt any of the projects discussed on this blog at your own risk. Read and follow the manufacturer's instructions of any product you use.
Remember, I am a fumbling home cook and I only just started to sew. I've tried too many different crafts to be a real expert at any technique. Most of what I learned about cooking and decorating is a great deal of trial and error. I'd say that much of my information comes from waaay too much TV, books and magazines! (and mom, of course!) But I like talking about these topics and I'm just grateful someone is willing to listen! (and sometimes pay me to write about it!)

Similarly, this blog has no control over the content of any external or third-party links from this site. Please contact those sites directly if you have questions about their content.

This blog does contain content which might present a conflict of interest. I have participated in craft fairs and  those projects will always be identified. (Right now, I did doing one craft show with some crafty relatives. When I write about any projects that they've created, it will be duly noted in the post.)

Right now, it is closed, but if I re-open my Etsy shop, you will be notified. Also, it should be noted that this blog does not host giveaways.
As I mentioned in my 'why I blog' post, in the end: I view this blog as a personal journal. A journal about crafts, cooking and creating. I want to document what I create and what inspires me. And I’m excited that this process lead me to a road where this blog could generate a little income and turn into a possible a craft/decor venture.
