I don't know about you, but love roaming the hardware store for inspiration when I get a second or two.
I've made dry erase boards from white tile in the past. So, when I saw this white tile countertop edging one day, I thought it could make an elegant little sign! I knew I could write on the tile edging and wipe it off.
How did I make them?
It was so easy that I’m embarrassed to call this a tutorial! But basically, I just cut out some doily shapes out of black vinyl on my crafty cutter and placed them asymmetrically on three edge tiles. Done!
Remember that black and white bridal shower that my sister-in-law and mother-in-law threw for my husband's cousin?
Well, I originally made these signs for my SIL to use for the shower to mark items on a buffet table. But then plans changed and the shower ended up being more of a sit-down style event and the little signs wouldn't be needed.
So, I decided to give the three signs to to the bride-to-be as part of her gift! I figured that she could use them for her home/entertaining or even at the wedding. Wouldn't a sign be cute as a note on the guest book table or in the powder room?
This could make a great housewarming or hostess gift, too!
These little signs could be used as a place card, a buffet sign, or for a little note in the home! “coffee, decaf, tea”... “chicken, beef, veggie”...”Welcome, please remove your shoes, a favorite daily quote”…. etc.etc.etc..
I love that you could change out the vinyl decorations for the season or room, too! The possibilities for these tile dry erase signs are endless... And each tile cost me about $2 at the hardware store.
