Madigan made… more ways to keep in touch!

Does your smart phone look like mine? Full of all kinds of ways to connect to others?
I think I’ve told you this before but… you can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, StumbleUpon and Instagram.
But did you also know that you can also find me on Google+? I’ll be honest, I’m really not on there much. I try to update my status there a couple times a week.
If you read blogs… and you use Google Followers Connect to read blogs, you may have heard that Google is phasing this option out to following some blogs (ie. ones on WordPress). I am still on Blogger, so you should still be able to follow me for now. But eventually I plan to move to WordPress and you won’t be able to read my blog through GFC. (…insert sad face…)
If you use GFC, I encourage you to think about looking at other ways to read your fav blogs.
I personally use my Google reader, but I know some bloggers that use other methods:
- Diane from In My Own Style and Mandi from Sugar Bee Crafts both use the Google Next feature.
- Kim from A Girl and a Glue Gun and Jamie from C.R.A.F.T. both like to use BlogLovin to read blogs.
To sign up via a blog reader (RSS feed) and follow Madigan Made, you can just click on that little button in the sidebar OR click here:
Or if you like emails, just enter your email address in the box in the sidebar to get free post updates.
And on a slightly related note…
Are you as overwhelmed as I feel some days with social media? I mentioned this last week when I talked about how I feel like I’m on a bit of a blog plateau. On top of maintaining this blog and its content, I find that keeping up with so many different streams of social information can be too much. While having a smart phone helps, it also makes it very easy to get distracted by the constant conversation.
Some days I want shut off the streams and craft and write in a vacuum. In fact, I think it would be really good for me and this blog’s content!

While I want you to join me in all of these fun social forums (I’d love to ‘meet’ and interact more with my readers!), I plan to be intentional and limited with my time in those mediums. I hope you understand!
So, I’m unplugging for the night and I’m off to craft something right now… or at least go walk the dog. :o)
