My latest thrifting finds

Madigan made… found a few thrifty treasures.

In my haste to tell you about the I <3 Thrifting Event in Philadelphia (going on this coming weekend!)…  I realized that I have not shown you many of my latest and greatest finds from the past several months.

I found a few of these things out shopping with Diane (In My Own Style) or on my own. I don’t know about you, but I have a habit of just ‘popping’ into thrift stores if I’m out running errands and passing by a store. If I have an extra minute or two, I will run in and look around. Some days, that is when I find the best stuff!

Want to see what I scored? Take a peek…

A small glass clock. (It is begging for a healthy dose of paint!)

A pretty, long, yellow scarf. (I love the pattern on the back of the scarf!)

A pink and red floral bed sheet. (It has a vintage feel to it, right?)

A set of 4 vintage napkins. (I love the crisp and light imagery of the floral.)

An old blue-green banker’s box. (I love the color and this baby is heav-y!)

A gold, stretchy belt. (What can I make with this?)

Two embroidery hoops. (Yes, I’m jumping on the trend bandwagon.)

A terracotta bunny. (And you saw what I did with it this spring for my Easter centerpiece idea.)

Yep, that’s neon yellow dry wall tape! (I have plans for a few neon crafts… stay tuned!)

And finally… last but not least… this is a find of my Mom’s:

Pretty awesome, right? She spotted this old Chinese checkers board at a flea market last fall and bought it for me. She knows that I’ve been looking for one for a long time. (I love the muted colors and they will work great in our sports themed basement.) Thanks, Mom!

Writing this post is making me excited to get out there and find more treasures!
