Simple Easter Tabletop Décor Ideas

Madigan made… spring decorating inspiration with World Market.

I know I told you Monday that I’m craving warmer weather… but I can’t believe that Easter is right around the corner! Have you begun to decorate for the holiday?

I haven’t started yet… but I love decorating for the spring and I can’t wait! This time of year you can have fun with so many different colors. If you remember, in prior years I used pinks and greens one season and turquoises another year.

But I’ve been craving a simpler color palette for this coming spring. I’m thinking about lots of greens lately. Yes, it is a popular color this year with ‘emerald’ being Pantone’s color of 2013. But as I told you earlier this month, something about the color green is very spring-y. And when you pair it with fresh white… aaah…. so pretty!

So, I was thrilled to check out World Market’s website recently and see this gorgeous mossy basket in their spring collection.

Isn’t it lovely? The bright green and organic texture caught my eye immediately. I could envision a whole spring tablescape from this one piece.

Can’t you imagine that big basket and a couple of little round mossy nests filled with white tulips in the center of a dining table? A few white porcelain egg cups could sit next to the basket to hold decorated eggs. The whole grouping would make a simple and natural spring centerpiece.

And if you had a big holiday dinner, white serving dishes (like these  white flower measuring cups, white glass cake stands and tulip shaped serving bowls) would be a lovely contrast against a dark wood dining table. I love white dishes, remember?

For place setting options, I was drawn to the natural motifs in these soft gray felted die cut placemats  and white floral napkin rings. To repeat the green and white theme, I thought about combining these simple green buffet napkins and green highball glasses with white square dinner plates.

I love that this green and white combination of objects reads ‘spring’ without screaming it. All of these décor pieces could be used for Easter… or any time of year!

I had a lot of fun checking out World Market’s spring collection. I wish they had a store closer to me. They seem to have everything you might need for a party. (But… you can get it all online if you plan now!)

Need an extra little toy for someone’s Easter basket? These fun and fat little chicks made me smile. They’ve even got you covered if you needed help making carrot cake cupcakes or to add a few candy almonds to your dessert selection. If you were looking for a pretty hostess gift… I love the idea of a jar of lemon curd wrapped in a spring-y floral box or a woven gift bag. Shades of yellow can be pretty for the season, too.

What colors are you drawn to this spring? Am I the only one that loves greens and mossy textures right now?
